1. Outline of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation
The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation was established in 1987 in order to correct the trade and investment imbalance between the EU and Japan, and to promote closer economic relations between the EU and Japan based on the agreement between the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry .
2. Traineeship Programme in EU
The programme started in 1996 and has sent 532 students to Europe up to 2024. Participants will first attend 3-month language course to learn local language in Europe, followed by 6-month traineeship at a company locates in EU Member State. Hosting companies range from the automotive industry, industrial machinery, materials, and software. We welcome applicants majoring in engineering, science and technology who want to become globally active and experience high level of technology of European companies.
3.Scholarships
The Centre provide 800,000 yen in Japan,during industrial internship the hosting companies provide allowance of around 1,000 euros/month, and the Centre cover tuition fees during language training.
