1. Outline of the Centre
The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation was established in 1987 in order to correct the trade and investment imbalance between the EU and Japan, and to promote closer economic relations between the EU and Japan based on the agreement between the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
2. Internship Programme in EU
The programme started in 1996 and has sent 517 students to Europe up to the fiscal year 2023. Participants will first participate in language training for two-three months locally. They will then participate in an internship of six months at a company in an EU Member State. Participating companies come from a wide range of industries, including automotive industry, industrial machinery, materials, biotechnology, and software. We welcome applications from science and technology studying students who want to become globally active and experience high level of technology of European companies.
